Val Cohen is a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services. In this role, Val is helping to build out a new AWS service. Prior to moving to this role, Val was part of AWS Professional Services. Here, she focused on helping large enterprise customers move to the cloud. Val enabled a large Japanese bank to run applications in production in the cloud by building architecture to integrate various cloud metrics with the customer’s on prem operations. Prior to joining Amazon, Val worked as a technology consultant and Deloitte Consulting. Val started her professional services career doing large scale SAP implementations for large manufacturing clients. She worked in the Internet of Things (IoT) space as a consultant at Deloitte Digital, helping manufacturing companies utilize IoT to better optimize their machinery. Val received her bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from the University of Pennsylvania. A Philadelphia native, she now lives in New York City.
