Tracey Welson-Rossman is a founding member and chief marketing officer at Chariot Solutions, a Philadelphia area enterprise application and mobile development consulting firm, and the Founder of TechGirlz, a non-profit organization dedicated to inspiring middle school girls to consider careers in technology.
As CMO of Chariot Solutions, Welson-Rossman’s responsibilities include branding, marketing and managing the Chariot sales team, while also taking the initiative when it comes to market trends and turning them into business opportunities.
Twice recognized as a top place to work in Philadelphia, Chariot Solutions has grown from its initial staff of 10 to over 50 full time employees, over 90% of whom are technologists.
Welson-Rossman’s role at Chariot Solutions is only part of her work: She believes that it’s critical for this generation of women to empower, mentor and guide the next.
Welson-Rossman believes that there is a major disconnect between the market and the tech industry today. To address this issue, Welson-Rossman founded the organization, TechGirlz. An integral part of TechGirlz is the annual Summer Camp which was designed to address the fact that women, according to the Kauffman Foundation, lead only three percent of all tech startups.
Welson-Rossman is the founder and current chair of the annual Emerging Technologies for the Enterprise Conference (ETE). ETE attracts world-renowned thought leaders in cutting-edge technologies and serves as a community forum for regional technology companies. Additionally, she is a founding board member of Philadelphia Startup Leaders, dedicated to growing technology startup businesses and the largest and most active community of startup entrepreneurs in the Philadelphia.
Welson Rossman is a board member for the Phila. Economy League and Creating IT Futures, as well as an adviser for Roar for Good.
Welson-Rossman was honored as a Woman of Distinction in 2015, one of the Most Valuable Women in Tech in 2016, and one of 40 Women to Watch over 40 worldwide in 2013.
