Michelle specializes in developing results-oriented marketing and communications programs for technology and business-to-business companies. With more than 30 years of hands-on experience, Michelle has delivered award-winning marketing, strategy, brand and communications counsel to more than 150 startups and industry leaders, including Apple, AuthenTec, Valencell, OraSure Technologies, Pearson, NWEA, Rocket Fuel, Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science, and Splice Machine, among others. Under Michelle’s leadership, Zer0 to 5ive has won numerous awards, including the Silver Anvil Award (4X), the Big Apple Award (2X), and numerous Webby, Davey and Communicator Awards.

Michelle’s background includes a variety of high-profile positions, including Vice President of Marketing for Safeguard Scientifics, Senior Vice President at Ketchum, and numerous stints as an interim CMO where she has set go-to-market strategies and positioned companies for successful exits.

In 2013, Michelle was recognized as one of Philadelphia SmartCEO’s 25 Powerhouse Women Leaders. She has spoken at numerous conferences on go-to-market strategies and brand development, and currently serves on the board of Women in Tech.

Michelle holds a B.S. in Technical Writing and Editing from Carnegie Mellon University. She also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army, where she commanded a unit during the first Gulf War.
