Denise is a Robotics Engineer at Exyn Technologies, a robotics start-up based in Philadelphia, PA, creating software to enable pilot-less aerial robotic flight in complex, GPS-denied environments such as warehouses and underground mines. She specializes in developing algorithms enabling the robots to locate its position and simultaneously generate a map of its environment using a fusion of sensors. Prior to joining Exyn, Denise was a graduate student at the University of Pennsylvania in the General Robotics, Automation, Sensing and Perception (GRASP) Laboratory, where she developed algorithms for the manipulation of multiple magnetic microrobots using visual servoing and interfacing microrobotic tools with basic science.
