Have you ever asked yourself, “What should I name this class,” “Should I use a class or ID here,” “Should I ever use !important,” or “How should I structure my css?”

I know I do – regularly! SMACSS (Scalable and Modular Architecture for CSS) is a handy reference that answers of all of these questions and more. What is great about SMACSS is that it isn’t rigid, meaning you can use all or some of the frameworks featured, because we all have wonderful minds that process design patterns differently.

In this session, we will review, discuss, and learn to recognize patterns in our own code to make organization easier on us and our teammates.

Requirements: You will need familiarity with HTML and CSS and a computer with Chrome or Firefox to get the most out of this workshop.
